Gallimore Student-Run Credit Union Program
The Gallimore Student-Run Credit Union is designed to encourage personal financial responsibility in all students by providing an in-school credit union savings program. Community Financial facilitates student-run credit unions and financial education in all P-CCS schools. All Gallimore students can learn to be proactive in saving for their future by participating as members of the Gallimore Student-Run Credit Union and making deposits into their actual savings accounts with Community Financial on “Deposit Days” at school. Select fourth grade students have the opportunity to operate the student-run credit union. These students learn valuable skills as they apply for volunteer positions and process transactions for student members under the assistance of Community Financial credit union personnel.
