P-CCS Summer Communication 2026

Read the P-CCS Summer Communication 2026 for important back to school information. You will find helpful details such as transportation updates, school year calendar, student lunch payment options, health and immunization forms, and much more.

Summer Office Hours

Gallimore Elementary's office is closed for the summer. If you cannot find the information you need for the start of the school year on this page, please email the principal Aimee Bell at aimee.bell@pccsk12.com or call the Board Office at 734-416-2700.

Gallimore Elementary Back to School News and Information for 2026-2027

Back to School Check-in (B2SCi) Process
  •  The Back-to-School-Check-in process is a requirement for all P-CCS families. Registration will be available starting Wednesday, August 13. This process allows families to update their information in MiStar Parent Connection and informed the District if they are interested in transportation.

Bus Information
  • Durham will provide the most complete and up-to-date information on Friday, August 21st. Below are the various channels in which route information can be found:

    • MISTAR Parent Connection: This will be the same as always and will have the most up to date information per Wayne RESA routing software.

    • E-mail: Durham will be sending out emails this year as well as the main method of communicating route information. Postcards will not be sent anymore.

  • To plan routes that are safe and efficient based on actual student ridership, we kindly request that parents or guardians register their eligible student(s) for transportation. This Transportation feature will be available through the Back to School Check-in process, allowing parents or guardians to select either "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether their student(s) will be using school bus transportation or not. Please complete this process on or after August 13th. The transportation link in the P-CCS Summer Communication will provide more detailed information.

Class Placement

Student Class Placement will be available through MiStar Parent Connection.

Class Rosters posted on front doors:  Due to a recent review of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) we will no longer be able to post class rosters on the front doors.

The first day of school is Monday, August 31st.  It is a half day with dismissal at 12:10 p.m.  The district calendar can be found at this link:

Elementary School Bell Times
  • Full Day of School:  8:55 a.m. to 4:01 p.m. 
  • Half Day of School: 8:55 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
Breakdown of Morning Arrival
  • 8:40 a.m. Students can arrive on school grounds
  • 8:50 a.m. First bell rings and students can enter the building
  • 8:55 a.m. Second bell rings and students should be ready for the day
    • Please note that students arriving after 8:55 a.m. will be marked tardy 
    • A student arriving at this time should be accompanied to the office door and signed in by the adult

Medication

Students who require medication during the school day should have that medication and documentation submitted to the school office prior to the start of each new school year.  More information is available regarding medication use on our Health & Wellness page.  Written authorization from a physician must accompany ANY medication, this includes over the counter medication.
